Theme Wedding Music
Beach Wedding Music
If you have a tropical or Hawaiian theme, you can choose songs with a bubbly reggae feel like Israel’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “It Must Be Love” by Madness, “Cupid” by Amy Winehouse or “I Can See Clearly Now” by Johnny Nash. If those aren’t for you, opt for songs with beachy lyrics like “Walk on the Ocean” by Toad the Wet Sprocket or “The Ocean” by U2.
Valentine’s Day Wedding Music

If your wedding fall in February or has a Valentine’s day theme, it’s easy to find appropriate wedding music. Some of our favorites include “Valentine” by Kina Grannis, “My Valentine” by Martina McBride, “Valentine” by the Get Up Kids (for something a little different), or the classic “My Funny Valentine” as performed by Frank Sinatra.
Fairy Tale Wedding Music
Thanks to Disney, all the romantic princess and fairy tale love songs you could want are at your fingertips. Try the waltz from Sleeping Beauty, “So This Is Love” from Cinderella, “Kiss the Girl” by Little Texas (for a country flavor,) and “Someday My Prince Will Come” from Snow White. And the perfect father-daughter song? “Cinderella” by Steven Curtis Chapman.
Asian Theme Wedding Music

Choosing music for a Chinese, Japanese, or Asian fusion wedding can be difficult. But don’t overthink your music selection – you can set the mood by simply playing Asian music as a prelude to the ceremony/reception and during dinner. (Whatever you do, avoid desperate picks like “I’m Turning Japanese” by The Vapors!)
The wedding music you choose can either add to your theme or take away from it. No matter what your wedding’s theme, you’ve got to pick the right music. Your songs don’t have to perfectly match your theme, but they should echo it through lyrics, tune, genre, or some other way.
