LDS Wedding Party Dance Songs
Dance Songs for Attendants of an LDS Wedding
After the bride and groom’s first dance, the bride’s dance with her father, and the groom’s dance with his mother, you could open the floor up to everyone. Or you could include a fun tradition that not all weddings include in the reception: a special dance just for members of the wedding party.
Everybody does the wedding party dance a little bit differently. Some have each bridesmaid dance with one of the groomsmen, while others allow each wedding party member to dance with their spouse or significant other. Your preferences and the preferences of your wedding party members should decide.
Wedding Party Slow Dance Songs
For something a little more traditional, (or if your wedding party members aren’t comfortable straying from the traditional shuffle-in-a-circle slow dance,) stick to a slower tempo ballad.
Can You Feel the Love Tonight by Elton John
With a Little Help from My Friends by Joe Cocker
You’ve Got a Friend in Me by Randy Newman
Gift of a Friend by Demi Lovato
For the Good Times by Ray Price
Ever the Same by Rob Thomas
Collide by Howie Day
Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper
Sleep Walk by Santo and Johnny
Time by Chantal Kreviazuk
Love Remains the Same by Gavin Rossdale
The wedding party dance is a perfect time to transition from a slow and sweet “first dance” to the upbeat, fast dance tracks that will be playing for much of the rest of the night. If your wedding party members are feel okay about going crazy on the dance floor, why not liven it up with a fast number?
My Best Friend by Weezer
So Much Love by The Rocket Summer
Put Your Records On by Corrine Bailey Ray
Beautiful Day by U2
Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles
You’ll Be in My Heart by Phil Collins
I’ll Be There for You by The Rembrandts
I’m a Believer by Smash Mouth
You’re My Best Friend by Queen
We’re Going To Be Friends by the White Stripes
Not every couple has a wedding dance for their attendants at their reception, but it sure is a nice gesture. It highlights the importance of the bridesmaids and groomsmen who have done so much in the past few months and is a perfect way to publicly say “thank you for everything.”
